There is a wide gap in medicine between “finding truths” and “finding significant truths.” Many people would place elective plastic surgery on one end and live-saving treatments for children on the other.
Some people do not view gene therapy in positive terms, however. They might draw different conclusions as to what is significant or not than a doctor involved in gene research.
